Innovative Practices

With respect to the drug court model, there are specific best practices courts should engage in to maintain fidelity to the 10 Key Components. Inevitably team members are challenged with limited resources or special circumstances that make adherence to these best practices difficult. Innovative practices are responses by those teams to meet those challenges in unique and creative ways. We compiled a list of innovative practices observed during the Criminal Justice Commission’s first round of peer reviews of CJC funded adult drug courts. Below are some general categories for innovative practices and a couple examples. A complete list can be found here.
